What you get with GigSky in China
Set up before you fly
Buy in the GigSky app and install your QR code at home. Your plan activates automatically when you first connect to a local tower in China.
Keep your existing number
GigSky runs as a second line alongside your home SIM. Your usual number stays active for calls and texts — GigSky handles data only.
Real-time data usage
Track exactly how much data you've used at any time in the GigSky app, so you never get caught short before your next refill.
Travel beyond China
If your China trip is part of a wider journey, GigSky covers many other destinations from the same app — manage everything in one place.
Flexible up to 90 days
GigSky China plans run up to 90 days from first use. Buy in advance so you're ready the moment you land.
Which GigSky plan should you pick?
For a short city break of 3–6 days, the cheapest plan at $5.99 will cover Maps, WhatsApp and casual browsing. If you’re spending one to two weeks travelling around China, step up to a mid-tier plan — usually the strongest value on a per-GB basis in GigSky’s China lineup.
If you plan to work remotely, stream video daily, or use your phone as a hotspot, lean towards a larger bundle. The unlimited plans cost a premium but make sense for heavy users who don’t want to track usage.
One thing to note: GigSky China plans are data-only. You won’t get a local number, but your existing SIM handles calls and texts as normal — messages, WhatsApp and FaceTime all work over data.
